“The Greatest” boxing legend
Muhammad Ali moved through the ring with rhythm and
courage, then stepped beyond it to stand up for
faith and conviction. About his comeback, he once told
Life magazine:
“They expect
me to come back
looking
fat, looking bad. They think they’ve
done me in.
But I’m going to
fool them.”
His words remind us to defy expectations, trust our own
greatness, and keep rising.
Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee.
You have to be true to yourself, not compromise your values and leave the rest alone.
What keeps me going is goals.
I set a goal for myself, to demonstrate to other people what can be done. People tell me not to fight, but they are at the foot of the wall of knowledge and I am at the top. My horizon is greater than theirs.
Love is a net where hearts are caught like fish.
Don’t count the days, make the days count.
If they can make penicillin out of moldy bread, they can sure make something out of you.
It isn’t bragging if you can back it up.
I’m not the greatest; I’m the double greatest. Not only do I knock ’em out, I pick the round.
If my mind can conceive it, and my heart can believe it—then I can achieve it.
A man who has no imagination has no wings.
