I am grateful to my parents for raising me to celebrate the importance of excellence. "If you're going to do something, do it right," my Dad would say. "Don't just slap it together."

My Dad supervised many workers at the Pearl Harbor Shipyard and my Mom supervised him. So, they certainly knew what they were talking about. "Why settle for mediocrity?" Mom would say. Why, indeed?

I continue to rely on this foundation of excellence in everything I do: Setting goals. Giving 100%. Adding a little extra stamp of myself in the finished product. I always work hard and automatically envision success. This passionate quest for excellence sustains and is a priceless gift that I try to pass on to those I love. It feels good and works out nicely as a tribute to the hard work of my Mom and Dad.

PERSISTENCE...

I've been tweaking Daily Celebrations and I'm excited with the changes. I added graphic rollovers and an alpha listing search feature to the navagation bar. I tighten up the design. In the next few days, I'll add a day and month drop down menu and more.

Kinda cool, huh?

I've got big dreams for the next year: I have a book of 365 celebrations to finish; I need to better market Daily Celebrations so more people will know about the site; I'd like to help my friend Tamela finish her Written Wisdom site... The list continues.

My father often quoted his hero, the great Green Bay Packer coach, Vince Lombardi. Coach Lombardi once eloquently said, "Perfection is not attainable. But if we chase perfection, we can catch excellence."
