A man dedicated to spreading good, Mark Victor Hansen (1948-) was born in Waukeegan, Illinois and is a best-selling author and motivational speaker who co-created the successful Chicken Soup for the Soul series.
"Your dream is a big, audacious goal where no one is worse off because of it," Hansen said.
An imposing 6'4", Hansen experienced failure at 26 when his company went bankrupt. He called the experience the "best/worst" thing that ever happened.
Inspired by speaker Cavett Robert, Hansen decided he'd like to pursue motivational speaking as a career. "The minute I came into it, I felt I had found my calling," he explained. "I had a burning desire and was passionate about the business."
Today Hansen travels around the world, inspiring his audiences with energy and celebrating life's delights... and challenges. "In imagination," he said, "there's no limitation."
Believing that big thoughts produce even bigger results, Hansen encourages expansive thinking. Really expansive thinking. In a world where people say, "you can't and here's why," Hansen enthusiastically encourages his audiences to come up with "too many goals... dozens, hundreds!" because "you definitely can and here's why."
You deserve ALL of life's blessings.
