Gut Feelings
The goal of Daily Celebrations is to celebrate life. I always try to find the positive spin on the person, place or thing I am featuring. It's usually a simple joy to do once I start researching my topic. WHY?... If something is hard for you, don't give up. Just keep trying. MEETING CHALLENGES... With faith and courage, all things are possible... THE ULTIMATE MEASURE... So, challenges are good. The harder a job is to do, the more necessary it is to stick to it. The challenge builds strength. Accomplishment reveals true character.

I've been working way too long on an upcoming celebration (4/4/01) of actor Robert Downey, Jr. I've always been astounded by his remarkable acting ability, from Chaplin, to
Ally McBeal, to the
Wonder Boys. But the more I learn about his drug problems and how he's wasted his talent, the harder it is for me to keep the spin positive and not sound preachy. So I've been struggling...
