Kindness
My New Year's Resolution is to spread kindness every way that I can...
Kindness, straight from the heart, can encompass every imaginable thing. Being kind to others is the best way to be good to yourself. Kindness keeps the spin positive and radiates passion in the heart. Take time to spread kindness throughout your world today. OUR OWN HEART IS OUR TEMPLE... Tenzin Gyatso (1935-), the Dalai Lama (Mongolian for "Ocean of Wisdom"), is believed to be a reincarnation of Buddha. He is the spiritual and political leader of Tibet's six million Lamaistic Buddhists. In 1950, the Chinese invasion of independent Tibet forced this holy man into permanent exile. "Suffering is the first step to liberation," he wrote about his exodus. In his books, his life, and his teachings, he continues to teach and live the example of spreading compassion, love, and kindness to everyone. FOUNTAIN OF GLADNESS... Novelist Washington Irving (1783-1859) created the classic tales of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow and Rip Van Winkle. A world traveler, the respected scholar wrote about the Old World and New World from an American perspective. With insight and wisdom...and a simple innocence, he urged others to smile and spread kindness. KINDNESS IS... You can help others in your life by nurturing kind and caring behavior. Kindness generates happiness and security. Kindness is contagious and unites us all. As German poet and philosopher Johann von Goethe once said, "Kindness is the golden chain by which society is bound together." Heres to kindness. Won't you help spread kindness to others?
