Frustration
I’ve been frustrated with my Daily Celebrations service provider. They made some changes to the server without giving me a heads up, and we lost database connectivity and couldn’t even FTP to the site. We’re on day two of trying to get things back to normal. The good news is, I think we’re over the worst of it and I haven’t broken anything. DON’T LOSE YOUR HEAD... I hate waiting for someone else to fix a problem that I feel needs to be fixed immediately, one that I’d be more than happy to fix myself. It takes on a surreal spirit when I become a spectator to something that’s MINE, like Daily Celebrations. I’m okay as long as I don’t panic and keep my sense of humor. That’s the challenge. DWARF OUR TROUBLES... When I realized I had to wait on someone else to fix my problem, I took the day off. I had a nice lunch, then ambled over to my favorite local bookstore for delicious coffee. I wrote personalized postcards to people I’ve done celebrations on. I relaxed, scribbled energy swirls in my journal, and planned. Most of all, I counted my blessings… MY IDEAS FLOW BEST... GREATEST BLESSINGS There is always something good to come out of every challenge. The lessons and blessings are all around me if I’m smart enough to look. My blessings abound. Daily Celebrations is up and running fine 99% of the time... My website traffic—those “magic” unique users and page views--have more than doubled in the last year… And creating the newsletter and website is a source of continual joy for me. Down time? I guess the trick is to make down time UP time.
