#47 ~ Feeling Good
Feeling Good!
I am feeling great today. For the last two weeks, I’ve been carrying the flu around in my chest and head. Finally, I am feeling almost 100%, on top of the world. Very happy and ready to celebrate life. How are YOU doing today? STRENGTH, COURAGE, AND CONFIDENCE... It’s been awhile since my bout with uterine cancer. Every time I’m sick, I remember what it felt like to be totally wiped out by the effects of chemotherapy. Boy, was I scared. And there is sometimes that nagging voice of possible doom, propelled by fear, in the back of my head that I shake off. What has become clear to me with time is that there are no limits to the power of the human spirit. If you face the fear, with prayer and optimism, you CAN cope and find a way to overcome and celebrate."
LAUGH LIKE HELL... Lindsey, the beautiful six-year old daughter of a friend, recently said to me, “You sure laugh loud.” “I don’t know any other way to laugh,” I responded. She smiled and said. “That’s okay, I laugh loud, too.” Try to be alive. Celebrate. Isn’t that what life is for? THROW YOUR HEART... Ohio clergyman Norman Vincent Peale (1898-1993), famous for writing and teaching about the Power of Positive Thinking, wrote over 45 books. His philosophy of prayer, enthusiasm, and positive thinking continues to inspire millions. "Become a possibilitarian. No matter how dark things seem to be or actually are, raise your sights and see possibilities -- always see them, for they're always there," he said. Life is a celebration of obstacles… and possibilities! Each obstacle is an opportunity. Let optimism work for you to overcome whatever challenges you face. You WILL succeed!
"There is only one success. To be able to spend your life in your own way." ~ Christopher Morley

"Try as much as possible to be wholly alive, with all your might, and when you laugh, laugh like hell and when you get angry, get good and angry. Try to be alive. You will be dead soon enough." ~ William Saroyan
