Everyone loves flowers. Flowers enrich the senses and purify the soul.

The wonder of Spring is the celebration of the goddess Flora, who ancient farmers believed made plants and trees bloom. Flora lent the goddess Juno the flower that caused pregnancy upon touch, so that Juno could give birth to Mars.
The month of March was named for Mars, the Roman god of war and Italian god of fertility. The sweet daffodil, with sunny bursts of color, is the month's flower, blooming in shades of white and yellow to orange and red.
"Flowers," said philosopher Johann von Goethe, "are beautiful hieroglyphics of nature, with which she indicates how much she loves us."
