May 9 ~  Celebrate What You've Accomplished Great Women Writers Umbrella

"Celebrate what you’ve accomplished, but raise the bar a little higher each time you succeed." ~ Mia Hamm

Writer's Digest

Here's something wonderful to celebrate today...

Our dailycelebr-20s.com was named one of the 101 Best Web Sites for Writers by Writer's Digest in their May 2005 issue.

The seventh annual listing featured Daily Celebrations as one of six sites under the "Creativity" category. The passionate site was praised as a spark "to jump-start" artists. And as Albert Einstein said (and every great writer should know), "The secret to creativity is knowing how to hide your sources."

Eleven other categories of the 101 List included: articles, tips and discussion boards, general resources, genres, jobs for fun, media resources, niches, online writing and critique groups, online writing groups offering classes, organizations, and publishing resources.

"Writing," said the bright and talented French scribe Colette, "only leads to more writing."

As part of F+W Publications, a company dedicated to the life-long learner, Writer's Digest has been the most respected name in writing instruction since 1921. In showcasing the 101 Sites, WD advised: "You'll want to bookmark these sites to improve your skills, find new markets, and get the word out about your writing."

"Successful writers are not the ones who write the best sentences," said author Bonnie Friedman. "They are the ones who keep writing."

Readers can send comments or nominations for next year's list to writersdig@fwpubs.com with "101 Sites" as the subject line... Oh, and keep getting your jump-start here @ dailycelebrations!
